Scary. I have been there a lot so I don't want to go there anymore. I think the fact that they can't stop it with vaccines anymore is awful. And it is breaking out again for the first time in 15 years. All I can say is, "Next time your family asks you if you want to go to Disneyland, bring a mask" But seriously, the fact that this disease is rising up again is very very bad
I posted this and I think it is very interesting. Don't health inspectors come to Disneyland? Wouldn't they find out? Is Disneyland going to close for a while? I agree with Grace. I think is is suspicious that it is breaking out again for the first time in 15 years. Why? The article I posted doesn't have enough information, it just scares us and makes us not want to go to the "happiest place on earth". I think it is crazy that people are still going to Disneyland because they haven't read this article. I think this blog is very important because it spreads awareness of these kinds of things that people need to know.
Wow. This is unfortunate. However, not surprising. Disneyland is an attraction that people all over the world go to. Over 40 million people go to Disneyland per year when there are this many people that go person to person viruses will, without a doubt go around. Most people are stopped from getting measles with vaccines. I disagree that this should stop you from going to disneyland, just make sure you have had a recent vaccine. Just because people that have measles go to disneyland does not mean disneyland is unsafe or dirty. However, I am curious on why there is such a breakout all of a sudden. Is this because disneyland doesn't check and is only concerned with money?
I think that this is interesting, although the numbers are exaggerated. Remember, In a day, around 40,000 people go to disneyland, and near the holidays, around 70,000 people go. Per day you could go in that week, you would have a 9/49000 chance of getting measles. That is equal to .002%! I don't think you should be scared, Grace. This is very rare.

I think this article was very informative. I was surprised when I read, that on December 15 and December 20 people, between eight months to twenty one years old, had caught the measles, right after visiting one of the Disneyland theme parks. Sixty one infections of measles were reported in California, in 2014. But, in the United States there has been 610 people with measles, from 2000-2014. Wow! I ever knew measles could be so interesting!
P.S. A fun fact about measles, is if someone has the virus, you can be contagious for nine days.
I recently visited Disneyland. Eek! But, luckily, I had my measles shot. The nine people who got the measles did not have a vaccine for it. A vaccine sends the disease along with an immune bacteria that specifically destroys the disease. I think that if you are vaccinated then Disneyland will still be the happiest place on earth, and immune people will not have to worry about getting the measles or any other disease.
This is very scary. I do not want to go to disneyland knowing that I can come out having Measles. They should have top notch security now. 61 cases of measles were reported in California in 2014. That is quite a number! Thank you Talia for this article.
People in Disneyland have recieved measles and are now infected with the measles. This all occured in one week and then the people who got infected by the measles left to other theme parks in Orange County from December 15th to December 20th. Causing a huge outbreak of measles because they are easily spreadable. There were a total amount of 61 reports of measles from this horrific disease. They are still trying to find the reast of the people with measles and cure it so that no one is infected with measles and it is so highly contagious. That if it is not cured almost half of a city could be infected.
I wonder if they have had inspections. Someone should catch that... and i think that they should shut down the park for a few days to see what other virus live there. And that they should sterilize it to prevent illness es coming from it. People should be checked for sever ilness before they enter.

At first, people thought that measles was being spread around at Disneyland by visitors who had an active case of measles. Today, we just realized that a worker has been spreading measles around. The center for disease control in the United States, advised children who are not vaccinated to not visit Disneyland. This means that Disneyland could lose a lot of money and profit.
