I am very glad that ebola is a uncommon disease because I was very scared about catching it. I am sure that now we have better drugs and antibiotics to handle the disease. I am also glad that most people don't die from ebola. I do think that now ebola is not heard of as much as it was last year. I disagree that ebola should not be researched for a cure. I believe that all diseases should be researched but, that our main priority should be cancer.

I would like to start by thanking Jaime for suggesting this TedEd video. I think it is very important that we are properly educated on Ebola, because it is a significant current event. Many people have a fear of Ebola, but do not know what it really is. To prevent Ebola, we must understand it. I am extremely surprised to find out that Ebola has existed for almost forty years. I was very surprised that Ebola is not quite the culprit for deaths. Although it begins the chain reactions that lead to you being harmed, it is your immune system that is fragile. I believe that it is good that a few cases of Ebola spread to the United States, because now the scientists here are working for a cure and can save many small african towns.

I thought that this video was very informative about the symptoms of Ebola. It also talked about how you can get it, and that, like many other diseases, it is transmitted through the eyes, nose, and mouth. This video was really helpful to me with learning about Ebola.

First of all I thought that this was a very informative video. I only knew of ebola in 2014 but i didn't know it was in the 1950's. I also think that the theory that they spread from fruit bats is interesting but i would really like to dive into ebola more. It was also cool how it attacks your immune system and how the cells die.

From this video, I learned exactly how Ebola worked. Before, I kind of knew, but now I know basically how it destroys you. This video definitely comforted me, because now I know that it can't get out of control unless it is treated incorrectly. But that is why it is so deadly in poor countries, because they are still developing and don't have the ability to treat these outbreaks.
