Woman SavesThree Relatives from Ebola

I think it is extraordinary that a woman was able to save most of her family from Ebola without getting infected. I can't imagine how stressful this must have been. Necessity is the mother of invention is a quote that applies here. Hopefully, people will use her "trash bag method" to help minimize the spread of Ebola infection.

Especially because this was my eCybermission project, this interested me. Of course, she couldn't save her family all by herself. She needed the community. Without her doctor to guide her, without the local hospital to help out at the end, without all that help she wouldn't have been able to save most of her family.
And I agree with you, Owen, it must have been stressful. For your other part of your comment though, the trash bag method isn't the best. It did help her, but trash bags are not at all antibacterial, they aren't the most lightweight, or breathable. They are affordable for developing countries, which is good, but if she could use a more protective device/material, that would decrease the risk of her getting infected. It is an OK material, because it is also hydrophobic, but if there was something else, it would be better.

I think this is incredible. The fact that she has a 25% death rate while ebola had a 70% death rate is crazy. She also managed to keep herself from getting ebola using the trash bag method. In my opinion, the trash bag method is an amazing idea. Most people have access to trash bags, but I would think the percent of people who have access to better safety equipment is less than 1%. I agree with both Owen and Natalie about the stress. The amount of stress she must've felt is probably more than we will ever know. Lastly, I partly disagree with Natalie that she couldn't save her family by herself. The three that survived were already getting healthier, but the doctor gave very important guidance.
